Abstract Laparoscopic cholecystectomy in a symptomathic cholelithiasis patient with situs inversus: Case report Purpose: Situs inversus is a rare condition with an otosomal ressesive genetic predisposition. We want to present a patient with situs inversus totalis and acute cholecystitis who was safely treated via laparoscopic cholecystectomy.Method: As in a classical laparoscopic technique, two throcars 10 cm in diameter were inserted in their usual sites. Other two trocars 5 cm in diameter were placed in the mirror image of their classical sites on the left side of the abdomen. An hydropic and odematose gallbladder was removed. Result: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a safe and easy procedure in symptomathic cholelithiasis patients with situs inversus. Key words: situs inversus, acute cholecystitis, laparoscopic cholecystectomy

Purpose: Site inversus is a rare, autosomal resessive passage. We wanted to show here that a hospital with acute cholecystitis, which is the site inversus total, can be treated safely with the laparoscopic cholecystectomy technique. Method: As in the classical laparoscopic cholecystectomide, 10 of 2 spots were placed in normal places. The 5th toracars were landed on the left side as a mirror image of the classical method. It is a full, hydrophic and rewarded yellow piece. The result: While a specific experience is required in patients with site inversus with symptomatic cholelithiasis, laparoscopic cholesystectomy is a reliable and easy-to-apply method. Keywords: Site inversus, acute cholecystitis, laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
