Paul Ricoeur, Sevgi ve Adalet isimli kitabında sevgi ve adalet arasındaki ilişkiyi diyalektik bir şekilde ele aldıktan sonra kutsal metinlerin ve bu metinlere dayanarak oluşturulan yazıların simgesel yapısını Kendi kavramının oluşumuna olan etkisi bağlamında ele alır. Daha sonra Kutsal Yazılar ya da anlatılar tarafından dönüştürülen Kendi'nin hangi kendi olduğunu kendilik figürleri bağlamında inceler, bu figürler kutsal yazılar tarafından oluşturulan kendi'yi anlatan tanımlamalardır. Bu figürlerin sonuncusu olan vicdan figürü ile sevgi tarafından bir diyalektikle dönüştürülen adalet kavramını içsel bir şekilde ilişkilendirir.
Paul Ricoeur, in his book, Love and Justice, discusses the relationship between love and justice in a dialectic way and discusses the symbolic structure of sacred texts and texts created on the basis of these texts in the context of the impact on the formation of his own concepts. He then examines in the context of his own figures which are converted by the Holy Scriptures or the narratives, these figures are the definitions that tell the own created by the Holy Scriptures. The last of these figures is the figure of conscience and it innerly connects the concept of justice, transformed by love into a dialect.
