Doğu-Batı ticaret yolları vasıtasıyla Asya içlerinden Doğu Akdeniz yerleşim merkezlerine getirilen ticari malların; depolanması, korunması ve Avrupa’ya nakli üzerinde durulmuştur. Yine Avrupa’dan getirilen malların, bu bölgelerde kurulan ticaret merkezleri vasıtasıyla dağıtımı ve Asya içlerine kadar götürülmesi konusu değerlendirilmiştir.
The focus was on the storage, conservation and transport of commercial goods brought from Asia to Eastern Mediterranean settlements through Eastern-West trade routes. Again, the issue of importing goods from Europe has been considered to be distributed through the established trading centers in these regions and transported to Asia.
