Abstract:

This research was conducted to (1) develop a music experience plan based on Kodaly concept with folk songs of the southern border provinces (2) study the effect of applying a music experience plan based on Kodaly concept with folk songs of the southern border provinces and (3) to study the students' contentment with a music experience plan based on Kodaly concept. The outcome of this study are shown as follows: 1) The quality of music experience plan based on Kodaly concept with folk songs of the southern border provinces is at a very proper level; with a mean of 4.59, standard deviation of 0.11 2) The end result of this music skills comparison found that the experimental group studied through the music experience plan based on Kodaly concept with folk songs of the southern border provinces came out with higher musical skills than in the control group of normal study plan with a 0.01 statistical significance. The experimental group’s mean score is 64.75 and a standard deviation of 4.17, while the control group’s mean score is 57.92 and the standard deviation of 2.35 3) The student’s Kodaly music experience satisfaction evaluation form using folk songs of the southern border provinces finds that the students' satisfaction is at the level of “Very satisfied”. The overall mean is at 2.52 with a standard deviation of 0.22.
