Bu çalışmanın amacı, 1991-2022 yılları arasındaki muhasebe eğitimi konulu tezlerin güncel görünümünü ortaya koymak ve sayısal olarak belirtmektir. Çalışmada ayrıca muhasebe eğitimi konulu çalışmalarının tarihsel gelişimini gözler önüne sermek ve bu konuya dikkat çekmek hedeflenmektedir. Çalışmada yöntem olarak bibliyometrik analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır. Yükseköğretim Kurulu Ulusal Tez Merkezi resmi web sitesinde muhasebe eğitimi alanında yer alan 150 tez incelenmiştir. Çalışma yıl, üniversite, yazar, danışman ve enstitü bilgilerine göre değerlendirilmiştir. İncelenen 150 tez içerisinde en fazla kullanılan anahtar kelimelerin muhasebe eğitimi, muhasebe ve etik olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Muhasebe eğitimi konulu tezlerin 61 üniversite tarafından çalışıldığı görülmüştür. Muhasebe eğitimi alanında en fazla tez yazılan üniversitenin Sakarya Üniversitesi ve Selçuk Üniversitesi olduğu görülmüştür. Muhasebe eğitimi konulu en fazla tezin 2019 yılında yazıldığı sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Lisansüstü tezlerin büyük çoğunluğunu %88,6’sını yüksek lisans tezlerinin oluşturduğu görülmüştür. Muhasebe eğitimi konulu tezlerin tarihsel gelişimini ortaya koyan bu çalışma, nitel verileri nicel olarak sunmaktadır. Muhasebe eğitimi konulu lisansüstü tezlerin güncel görünümünü yansıtan bu çalışma, bu konuya dikkat çekmek ve muhasebe akademisyenlerini muhasebe eğitimi konulu lisansüstü çalışmalara yönlendirilmesinin amaçlanması bakımından önemlidir.
The aim of this study is to present the current view of the theses on accounting education between the years 1991-2022 and to specify them numerically. In this study, it is also aimed to reveal the historical development of studies on accounting education and to draw attention to this issue. The bibliometric analysis technique was used as a method in the study. 150 theses in the field of accounting education on the official website of the Council of Higher Education National Thesis Center were examined. he study was evaluated according to year, university, author, consultant and institute information. It has been determined that the most used keywords among the 150 theses examined are accounting education, accounting and ethics. It has been observed that theses on accounting education have been studied by 61 universities. It has been seen that the universities with the highest number of theses written in the field of accounting education are Sakarya University and Selçuk University. It was concluded that the most theses on accounting education were written in 2019. It has been observed that 88.6% of the majority of postgraduate theses are composed of master's theses. This study, which reveals the historical development of the theses on accounting education, presents qualitative data in a quantitative way. This study, which reflects the current view of postgraduate theses on accounting education, is important in terms of drawing attention to this issue and aiming to direct accounting academics to postgraduate studies on accounting education.
