In this study, an inductor-free adjustable turns-ratio ideal voltage and current transformer, which is integrated circuit compatible, is developed using Operational Transconductance Amplifiers (OTAs). Starting from a resistive ladder network, whose terminal equations are equivalent to those of an ideal transformer and can be used either a voltage transformer or a current transformer by changing only resistor values, the ideal transformer is simulated using only OTAs. Finally, operation of the obtained OTA two-port is successfully tested by SPICE software. The turns-ratio of the proposed ideal transformer can be digitally controlled by an external voltage or current source.
