Kur’ân’da âhiret hayatını anlatmak için muhtelif kelimeler bulunmasına rağmen, ölümden sonraki hayatın tamamını kapsayan esas ifade âhiret kelimesi olmuştur. Âhiret kelimesi, ilk dönem Mekkî sûrelerden itibaren vahiy süreci bitene kadar Kur’ân’da aynı önemi ve merkezi rolü korumuştur. Mekkî sûrelerde daha çok kıyamet, cennet ve cehennem tasvirleri, âhiret inancına karşı müşriklerin tepki ve itirazlarına verilen cevapları kapsayan bir âhiret anlatımı varken, Medenî sûrelerde vahyin genişleyen muhatap kitlesiyle birlikte Ehl-i kitabın ve münafıkların iman ve amellerindeki çelişkileri üzerinden âhiret hayatındaki durumları da anlatılmaktadır. Ayrıca Medenî sûrelerde Allah’a ve ahiret gününe iman etmenin, Müslüman bir kimsenin hayatını Allah’ın vaz ettiği kurallara göre yaşamasında rehberlik ettiği vurgulanır. Medenî sûrelerde diğer iman esaslarıyla bütün oluşturacak şekilde bir iman esası olarak el-yevmu’l-âhir kavramı İslâm’a uygun bir hayat tarzının sınırlarını çizmede temel oluşturur. Biz bu çalışmada âhiret gününün mahiyeti üzerinde değil, âhiret gününe iman etmenin inananların hayatında neleri değiştirmesi gerektiği üzerinde duracağız.
Although the Qur’an has many words to describe the life of the past, the main expression that covers the whole life after death has been the word of the past. The Word of the Past has kept the same importance and central role in the Qur’an from the first period to the end of the revelation process. In the civilization, the concept of al-Yevmu’l-âhir as a essence of faith in a way that will form all of the other principles of faith, creates the basis in drawing the limits of a lifestyle suitable for Islam. In this work we will stand not on the depth of the Day of Resurrection, but on what believers should change in their lives by believing the Day of Resurrection.
