Bu çalışmada, Çukurca ilçesinin yerleşimi için uygun, önlemli ve uygun olmayan alanların sınırlarının belirlenmesi amaç edinilmiştir. Bu amaca yönelik olarak, arazi çalışmaları kapsamında jeolojik birimlerin litolojik sınırları çizilmiş, tektonik hatlar belirlenmiş ve 1/2000 ölçekli mühendislik jeolojisi ve yerleşime uygunluk haritası yapılmıştır. Ayrıca, jeoteknik amaçlı sondajlardan elde edilen standart penetrasyon deney (SPT) verileri ile konsolidasyon oturması ve taşıma gücü hesapları, kaya ve zeminlerin fiziksel özelliklerinin araştırılması için kullanılmıştır. Diğer yandan, kütle hareketi (heyelan vb.) potansiyeli taşıyan ve yüksek topografik eğim değerine sahip olan alanlar (α≥ % 30) belirlenmiştir. Mühendislik jeolojisi ve jeoteknik incelemeler birlikte ele alınarak sonuçta “Çukurca İlçesi” ve çevresini oluşturan alan, yerleşime uygunluk açısından değerlendirilmiştir. In this study, the aim was to determine the limits of appropriate, precautionary and unsuitable areas for the settlement of the Cukurca district. For this purpose, the lithological boundaries of geological units were drawn in the framework of land studies, the tectonic lines were determined and the engineering geology of the scale of 1/2000 and the map of settlement conformity were made. In addition, the standard penetration test (SPT) data obtained from geotechnical findings has been used to investigate the physical characteristics of consolidation seating and transportation power calculations, rocks and soils. On the other hand, the mass movement (heyelan etc.) Fields with potential and high topographic curve value (α≥ 30 %) have been identified. The engineering geology and geotechnical studies have been discussed together and, as a result, the "Dukurca District" and the area that forms its surroundings, have been assessed in terms of settlement suitability.
