Abstract:

Nodar Canaşia, known for his translations to the Turkish literary series, has an important place in the translation history. Canaşia, which has made great contributions to the Turkish culture and literature series with its translations from the Georgian language, has dealt with the Turkish cultural values, mixing the values of the Georgian culture. The theoretical framework of the study is the work called Fosphorus Cevriye and the translation by Nodar Canaşia, "Posphorus Cevriye" (Posphorus Cevriye). In this context, the famous Turkish journalist and writer Suat Derviş's 1968 Turkish original novel "Fosforlu Cevriye" and the work translated to Gürcüsky by the Georgian language scientist and Turkologist Nodar Canaşia will be studied in terms of the theory of the work in the light of Toury's Erek Focused Translation Approach. In this context, our study has taken advantage of Mona Baker’s translation strategies in terms of translation strategies. It also included reviews such as pre-process translation standards, translation process standards, which Toury has advanced. The methods used by the translator in the translation of the source text to the male text are aimed at studying effective methods, language knowledge, vocabulary and form. Therefore, the expressions chosen from the source text and their Turkish translation have been mutually evaluated. As a result of the studies, the translation of Canaşia has been found in the source text and appropriate translation preferences, and the historical and cultural context of the period in which it was written also applied to the opening and explanation strategy, and the translation preferences have the place and place differences.
