So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

Aim: The aim of the study is to provide information about professional skills training in Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine and to present the results of student feedback on these training activities. Methods: Throughout their medical education, working in small groups, the students learn to perform a total of 40 basic professional skills. At the end of each skill training, the students are asked to fill in a feedback form prepared using five-points Likert scale. The present study aims to evaluate feedback forms of students trained in professional skills laboratory during the 2004-2005 academic year. Findings: An important majority of students rated professional skills training activities as over 4.5 on 5 points. Year I and Year III students attributed highest pionts to the measurement of blood pressure. Conclusion: It is clear that through training of basic clinical skills in professional skills laboratory, the students will be better prepared to professional life. The finding that the students are generally satisfied with their professional skills training can be taken as an indicator for better preparation for professional life.
