Abstract:

The interest of people in tooth whitening has increased in recent years. Tooth whitening is a conservative method of treatment compared to restorative treatment options. The mechanism of tooth whitening depends on the redox reaction that free oxygen reveals after the breakdown of hydrogen peroxide. The side effect of whitening may be that the dental tissue modifies the elastic module and microserity. These changes may be related to the change in tissue morphology and the reduction of organic components in the tooth, and may affect the fractural resistance of whitened teeth. In the teeth under endodontic treatment, this condition may be more critical due to the cause of the weakening of the dental structure. The most common side effect in the treatment is sensitivity. When used in combination with HP thermal activation, greater sensitivity occurs after whitening. A 5.5 C intrapulpal temperature increase is considered as the limit value that should not be overcome to avoid unreversible pulp damage today. The purpose of this collection is to evaluate the effects of whitening agents on the mine and the side effects of whitening therapies.
