Abstract:

It is important nowadays that individuals become equipped with the skills of reaching information, making arrangements within the information reached, evaluating the information reached and performing the presentation of the information. This is not only the students, but also the teachers who are model and educate them. The aim of this research is to examine the information search-interpretation strategies of physical education and classroom teacher candidates in the web environment and to reveal their differences according to demographic variables. The working group is 213 teacher candidates studying at Kocaeli University Faculty of Education, Classroom Teacher Training, Sports Sciences Faculty Physical Education Teacher, Adnan Menderes University Sports Science Faculty Physical Education Teacher Training. Relational screening model was used in this study. According to research findings, it is reasonable for the content of the strategy content that takes the highest value about the information search-interpretation strategies of the students in the web environment. Strategies related to the "questioning of different sources", "technical features and visualization" and "single resource utilization" have found a significant difference between the departments. A significant difference was found between the genders in the strategies of "questioning different sources" factor.
