Sinema kitlesel bir anlatı olarak kabul gördüğünden bu yana aksiyoner yapısıyla kitleleri etkileyerek peşinden sürüklemektedir. Farklı anlatı biçimlerine sahip olmakla beraber klasik, geleneksel, modern ya da postmodern yapılarla günümüzde en çarpıcı görsel hikaye anlatıcısıdır sinema. Klasik anlatı biçimi ticari kaygılar nedeniyle özdeşleşme ve yıldız oyuncu sistemini benimseyerek giriş gelişme ve sonuç yapısı ile popüler anlatılı aktarımı tercih eder. Hollywood sineması olarak ta bilinen bu anlatı çoğunlukla izleyicinin kolayca kavrayabileceği masalsı hikâyeler anlatmaktadır. Yapılan çalışmalara göre klasik/popüler anlatı yapısı benzer kahraman ve öyküleme biçimlerine sahiptir. Klasik geleneksel sinema çoğunlukla filmlerde aşk temasını işler ve bu tema sayesinde bireysel olarak ortak duygu oluşumları sağlanır. İnsanlık tarihinde bilinen en eski aşk öyküsü olan Eros ve Psykhe miti yapılan tüm film çalışmalarının esin kaynağı olmuştur. Rus biçimbilimci Propp’un incelediği masallarda da biçimsel olarak eylem ve işlevler açısından aşk teması belirleyicidir. Tematik olarak, sürükleyici, izleyiciyi etkileyen ve özdeşleşme yaratan romantik aşk hikayeleri farklı anlatı biçimlerinde kendini göstermiştir. Bu bağlamda çalışma boyunca günümüz popüler aşk sinemasının son örneklerinden biri olan “Suyun Sesi” filmi bir masal anlatısı olarak ele alınıp romantik aşk miti bağlamında incelenmektedir.
Since cinema has been accepted as a mass narrative, it has been following the masses with its action-oriented structure. Although it has different narrative forms, it is the most striking visual stories with classical, traditional, modern or postmodern structures. This narrative, which is regarded as a popular Hollywood cinema in today's industrial structure, mostly tells fairy tales that the audience can easily grasp. According to the studies, the classical / popular narrative structure has similar heroes and narration styles. Classical traditional cinema mostly deals with the theme of love in films and this theme creates individual emotions. The myth of Eros and Psykhe, the oldest known love story in the history of humanity, has inspired almost all the film works. In the fairy tales studied by Russian morphologist Propp, the theme of love is formal in terms of actions and functions. Main theme, for example, romantic love stories that are immersive, affect the audience and create identification is manifested in different narrative forms. The aim of this study is to examine the different approaches of love discourse in cinema and to explain the variability it shows formally.
