Abstract:

The game is the most natural learning environment for children and it supports the development of many skills for children. Technological developments have an impact on the lives of children. As a result of technological advances and easy accessibility, children’s interest in digital games is increasing. The main objective of this study is to identify the most popular digital games played by children between the ages of 4-6 years. Research methods have been used to this goal. It is also used as a means of data collection as a semi-configured conversation method. The study included 315 children from 5 kindergartens identified by layer sampling method. The study found that children played at least one digital game, played every evening, and played more games with tablets and mobile phones. This result allows us to get the result that children often begin to play digital games at a very early age. From the age of four, computers and computer games are included in the lives of children. It has been determined that children between the ages of 4-6 prefer more painting, games with animal characters, car games, and games with cartoon heroes. They have been identified as the reason for playing with their own expressions that they love games, they like and find fun.
