Abstract:

Throughout history, Iran has been the homeland of many Turkish people and the region where many Turkish states have ruled. Iran is one of the countries with the highest number of Turkish speakers today. Since the official language of Iran is Persian, these dialects belonging to different language groups are under the dominance of Persian. Therefore, they are in danger of being forgotten in different degrees. In the Turkish language world, it is important to determine these languages and to record their vocabulary. For this purpose, field study was carried out in regions where different languages and dialects of the Turkish language are spoken between 2018 and 2020. Field studies was carried out in the provinces of Gulistan for the determination of the Turkmen Turkish spoken in Iran, Erdebil for Azerbaijani Turkish, Fars for Kashkay Turkish and Markazi for Halac Turkish. In this article, it is aimed to determine the use of mother tongue, culture and society's customs and traditions observed during the field study.
