DOĞUM SONU DÖNEMDE ANNELERİN ALGILADIKLARI SOSYAL DESTEK İLE BENLİK SAYGISI ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİ

ÖZET Amaç: Bu çalışma doğum sonu dönemde annelerin algıladıkları sosyal destek ile benlik saygısı arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı nitelikte yapılan çalışmanın evrenini, 4 Şubat - 20 Mart 2016 tarihleri arasında Erzurum Nene Hatun Kadın Doğum Hastanesi’nde doğum yapan anneler oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada, örneklem seçimine gidilmeksizin belirtilen tarihler arasında çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden toplam 180 anneden veri toplanmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında “Kişisel bilgi formu”, “Çok Yönlü Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği (ÇYASDÖ)” ve “Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği (RBSÖ)” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde; yüzdelik dağılım, ortalama, standart sapma ve korelasyon kullanılmıştır.   Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan annelerin yaş ortalaması 27.85±5.75’dir. Annelerin %53.3’ü ilkokul mezunu, %90’ı ev hanımıdır. %64.4’ü çekirdek aileye sahip olup, %60.6’sının ekonomik durumu orta düzeydedir. Annelerin %30’unun 3 gebelik geçirdiği, %41.1’inin 3 ve üzeri çocuğa sahip olduğu, %68.3’ünün son gebeliklerinin planlı olduğu belirlenmiştir. %45’i doğum sonu dönemde destek aldıkları kişinin anne-babaları olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Annelerin sosyal destek puan ortalamalarının Aile alt boyutu 23.81±3.50, Arkadaş alt boyutu 18.08±6.65, Özel insan alt boyutu 23.51±3.89 olduğu ve toplam puan ortalamasının 65.41±11.32 olduğu saptanmıştır. Annelerin benlik saygısı puan ortalaması 2.68±0.87’dir. Annelerin %90’ının benlik saygılarının orta düzeyde olduğu bulunmuştur. Annelerin algıladıkları sosyal destek ile benlik saygıları arasında anlamlı ilişki olmadığı saptanmıştır (p>0.05). Sonuç: Çalışma sonucunda annelerin algıladıkları sosyal destek düzeylerinin yüksek, benlik saygılarının ise orta düzeyde olduğu saptanmıştır. Algılanan sosyal destek ile benlik saygısı arasında herhangi bir ilişki olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Hemşire/ebeler kadın, eş ve ailesine gebelik döneminden başlayarak sosyal destek konusunda danışmanlık yaparak eksik olduğu yönleri belirleyebilirler. Hemşire/ebeler kadınlarla güven verici ilişkide bulunarak onların benlik saygılarını arttırabilir. Methods: In this descriptive study, population consists of mothers who gave birth at Erzurum Nene Hatun Maternity Hospital between February 4 and March 20, 2016. In the study, data were collected from 180 mothers. The "Personal Information Form", "Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS)" and the "Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (RSES)" was used for data collection. Percentage distribution, mean, standard deviation and correlation were used in order to evaluate the data. Results: The average age of the mothers who participated in the study was 27.85±5.75. Of the mothers, 53.3% was elementary school graduates, of which 90% was housewife. Of them, 64.4% has a nuclear family, and 60.6% has a moderate level of economic status. It was determined that, 30% of the mothers has had 3 pregnancies, 41.1% has 3 or more children, and 68.3% had a planned last pregnancy. Of the mothers, 45% stated that they have received support in the postpartum period from their parents. It was also found that mean social support sub-scale scores of the mothers were 23.81±3.50 in the Family sub-scale, 18.08±6.65 in the Friends sub-scale, 23.51±3.89 in the Loved ones sub-scale, and the mean total score was found to be 65.41±11.32. Mothers' mean self-esteem score was 2.68±0.87. 90% of the mothers were found to have a moderate level of self-esteem. And, no significant relationship was found between mothers' perceived social support and self-esteem (p>0.05). Conclusion: As a result of the study, it was found that mothers have higher perceived social support, and moderate level of self-esteem. Perceived social support and self-esteem were not found to be correlated. Nurses / midwives can advise women, spouses and family about social support by starting from the pregnancy period and identifying the deficiencies. The purpose of this study is to study the relationship between social support and self-respect that mothers perceive in the late birth period. Method: The universe of the study performed in a defining quality was created by the mothers who were born in the Erzurum Nene Hatun Women's Birth Hospital between February 4 and March 20, 2016. The study collected data from a total of 180 mothers who agreed to participate in the study between the specified dates without going to the sample selection. The data collection used the "Personal Information Form", the "Multi-directional Detected Social Support Scale" and the "Rosenberg Identity Respect Scale" (RBSÖ). In the assessment of the data; percentage distribution, average, standard deviation and correlation were used.   The average age of the mothers participating in the study is 27. It is 85 ± 5.75. 53.3% of mothers are primary school graduates and 90% are households. 64.4 percent of them own a native family, with 60.6 percent of their economic status on a medium level. 30 percent of mothers had 3 pregnancies, 41.1 percent had 3 or more children and 68.3 percent had their last pregnancies planned. 45% of the people who received the support at the end of the birth period said they were parents. The average social support score for mothers was family sub-dimensions 23.81±3.50, friend sub-dimensions 18.08±6.65, individual sub-dimensions 23.51±3.89 and the total score average was 65.41±11.32. The mother’s self-esteem score is 2.68±0.87. 90% of mothers found their self-esteem at a medium level. It has been found that there is no meaningful relationship between the social support that mothers perceive and their self-esteem (p>0.05). The study found that the levels of social support that mothers perceive are high and their self-respect is medium. There is no connection between social support and self-esteem. Nurses and nurses can identify the aspects of the lack of social support by consulting their wife, wife and family from the pregnancy period. The nurses may be able to increase their self-esteem by having trustworthy relationships with women.
