Abstract:

AKDEMİR, YILMAZ (2020) SENGLÂH'S TEMATIC SÖZLÜGÜ (ISIMLER), KRITER YAYINEVI, is the promotion work of the book of Istanbul. The book consists of entrance, thematic dictionary, motamot corresponding words directory and alphabetic dictionary sections. The book contains the following sections, respectively, along with the page range: 1. Entrance (p. 1 to 56) 2. Thematic Dictionary (p. 57-301), 3. The list of words given for Motamot (p.302-323), 4. The Alphabetic Dictionary (p. 324-497). Even a negative minor criticism of this book, Senglah's Thematic Dictionary (Names), is unfair to this study, which was rigorously and importantly prepared for a long period of time. The most obvious feature of the study is that it is rigorously drawn up and prepared and not missing the ease. Scanning 6000 words and identifying the names from these words and gathering the names found under the roof of their own related themes is a great effort that demands responsibility, seriousness and desire. When the work is studied, it is clear that the writer shows this authority.
