Abstract:

This research is a quantitative research designed in visual scan and causal comparative model. The purpose of the research is to study the innovation management skills of school managers according to the teacher's perceptions. The research participants are formed by 143 teachers from different branches working in a primary and secondary school in Ankara in the 2019-2020 educational year. The participants of the study were determined by a sample method. For this purpose, the maximum diversity sample method is used. The data of the research was obtained using the "Innovation Management Scale in Schools" consisting of 32 sub-dimensions and four sub-dimensions developed by Bulbül (2012b). The study conducted analysis of the visual statistical methods (percentage, average, standard deviation, frequency) and the differences between the variables. In this scope, independent samples in two groups have been tested, and independent samples in three and more groups have been used one-factor variance analysis (ANOVA). The findings of significant differences in the one-factor variance analysis (ANOVA) were identified by the LSD multi-comparative test. The study also calculated the size of the impact along with the statistical significance. The impact size in the independent groups t-test is calculated by the impact size of Cohen's d; the one-factor variance analysis in ANOVA is calculated by the impact size of the età square. According to the research results, school managers’ innovation management skills have been found at the "mediate" level in the overall scale and all dimensions. School managers' innovation management skills show significant differences according to "the status of office in primary or secondary school, gender, branch, age and professional age". According to the results of the research, various recommendations were given to both researchers and practitioners.
