Abstract:

Individuals' personality, family and social environment affect their future expectations. Because of the studies carried out that there is a significant relationship between business life and the five-factor personality traits, this research topic has acquired importance. The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between the five factor personality traits of university students and their future expectations. For this purpose, the research includes 459 participants, consisting of vocational high school, undergraduate and master students who are studying at Manisa Celal Bayar University using the convenience sampling method. In order to test the reliability of the scales within the scope of the study; Cronbach's alpha coefficients were examined. Hayes' Process macro was used to test the explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis, correlation and moderator role in the collected data. According to the results of the research, there is a positive and significant moderate relationship between the future expectations of university students and the five-factor personality traits. It was determined that gender did not make a significant difference in the said relationship, therefore, there was no moderator role.
