Abstract:

A thematic content analysis of the studies of the relationship between parents and children in Turkey has been made. From 31 magazines in Turkey between 2003 and 2017, 50 articles were analyzed using the visual statistical-based method. In this study, a analysis of the research trends based on the parent-child relationship that Turkish researchers have done in recent years. For this purpose, research in Turkey has been tried to guide the researchers by determining the topics studied in this field and the trends in the research methods applied (changes according to the publication years and languages, what kind of research problems are focused in the quality research subjects, the variants affecting academic success, what research methods are used, data collection tools, sampling or work group, data analysis methods). In the studies aimed at researching the relationship between parents and children in Turkey, it is often shown that the studies that parents are addressed instead of children are emphasized.
