Abstract:

The purpose of this study is 4. In the classroom Science course, the unit "Recognize the subject" is to identify the impact of activities developed according to the research-based learning approach, students' critical thinking skills, attitudes towards the Science course and self-capacities. The research work group consists of a total of 37 students, who are continuing their studies in a primary school during the good period of the 2017-2018 academic year, selecting a fourth class branch experiment (n=19) and a fourth class branch control (n=18). In this study, experimental methods of quantum research were used. The research has used the experimental pattern of the front-test-final test control group. As data collection tools, the scale of Critical Thinking Skills (EDBÖ) prepared by Iron (2006) has been used, the scale of attitude towards the Science Knowledge course developed by Akınoğlu (2001) and the scale of self-capacity towards the Science and Technology course developed by Hızlıok (2012). According to the research, considering the results of the self-quality and attitude towards the critical thinking, science and technology course, there was no statistically meaningful difference between the self-quality of the experimental group and the self-quality of the control group.
