Özet:

Indigenous peoples have “surfaced” in Latin America in recent decades with great force and gradually “undressing” history, rebuilding a new scenario. They have become visible, it is no longer possible to ignore them. In this context, indigenous women are increasingly participating in meetings, forums, workshops and national and international conferences. In these new spaces of discussion women of different ethnicities and generations articulate, discuss and claim their well-being, since many indigenous women have been victims of violent actions, both in the context of their own communities, and in the contact with non-indigenous society and on that imposition from European colonialism. In this sense, this work has the objective to highlight the participation of these women in political spaces that were once considered masculine, as well as to highlight their demands. For that, the Guarani and Kaiowá women of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, were elected.
