Abstract:

Intense maintenance units (Intense maintenance units) are care centers where a cross-disciplinary team approach is mandatory, with a large number of life-saving technological vehicle tools used to provide benefits to individuals who are at risk of their lives. Patients who are unable to breathe in the UBS are provided by artificial aircraft, the patient is provided with an instrument called the endotrakeal tube (ET) that is inserted from the mouth or nose. In the detection of ET in the YBU, it can be used a commercial method such as the ET pipe holders or non-commercial method such as the adhesive tape, gased tape. In patients with enthusiasm in the YBU, the detection of ET and prevention of movement is an important nursing application. Complications and unplanned extubation are unwanted and fatal conditions for patients with intensive care. Intense care nurses are responsible for preventing/reducing these adverse conditions, while taking care of entubes, to safely detect the ET, to choose the appropriate method of detection of the ET for the patient, to monitor the skin in terms of the risk of disturbance in the integrity of the skin associated with the ET and to prevent the infection, without carrying out the change/care of the detection material in the case of contamination. In this systematic collection, the commercial and non-commercial methods used in the detection of ET in adult intensive care patients were aimed at providing information to the intensive care nurses to guide the prevention of complications that may develop in connection with the detection of ET, in accordance with current literature.
