Abstract:

The work of Ibn Tufeyl, named Hay bin Yakzan, which is thought to be the western world, has been expressed by various researchers, especially Danüel Defoe, which is a source of inspiration for the work of Robinson Crusoe. The two literary texts in which the characters of Hay bin Yakzan have experienced on an island alone and the stories of Robinson Crusoe, who has been forced to spend about thirty years on the island as a result of a ship crash, have brought with them the traces of civilization in terms of the meanings it contains. In both texts he had his own characteristics to be the creator of the text, according to which the texts of Hay B. Yakzan, Salaman and Absal, Robinson Crusoe, influenced the formation of the "Robinsonad" type. The study first assessed the cultural positions in the works of Hay bin Yakzan and Robinson Crusoe and provided information about the main lines of the stories. In the second part, the two elements of the common work were identified, and the elements of the common work were divided.
