Socioeconomic Influences at Antenatal Healthcare Seeking Women, Qualitative Study of Faisalabad Pakistan

Abstract:

Socio economic status (SES) is measured through the objectives that specifically focus reproductive health determinants. Conventional measurement on the basis of income, occupation and education is conducted. The objective of this investigational study was to determine that socio-economic status is associated with reproductive health conditions for expecting mothers and its impacts on choice of health centers by expecting mothers. Data available from sub-urban ethnographic based study was used to examine maternal health sufferings. Snowball qualitative sampling technique was used to identify women with particular credentials. To implement research, interview guide is used to collect valid data. A relationship of antenatal women sufferings and socio-economic status is measured. Cross tabulation analysis is used with focus of breadth and depth of Socio-economic factor analysis and antenatal sufferings. Antenatal care health utilization is found fundamental element among expecting mothers. High affordability power affects in choice of facility center. Better income group is found to face less health seeking obstacles. Better and quality care is dependent on financial situations of women. Health protocol measurement is only best way followed by affording rich expectation females. The low income resources and lack of purchasing power towards quality care enhances the health sufferings, despites the presence and consideration of physician’s visits.
