Yapay Zekâ (YZ) kavramı günümüzde pek çok alanda karşımıza çıkmakta ve insanlar bilinçli ya da bilinçsiz şekilde yapay zekâdan faydalanmakta veya farkında olmadan gelişimine katkıda bulunabilmektedir. Müşteri hizmetleriyle iletişime geçildiğinde bizlere yardımcı olmaya çalışan sohbet robotları, çeşitli algoritmalar yardımıyla fotoğraf ve videolarımızı işleyen mobil uygulamalar, otonom sürüş özelliği ve park etme becerilerine sahip araçlar, finansal analiz yapan uygulamalar bunlara örnek gösterilebilir. Görüldüğü üzere yapay zekâ kullanımı her geçen gün farklı alanlara nüfuz etmektedir. Bunun doğal sonucu olarak tasarım endüstrisinde de yapay zekâ veya benzer altyapılardan faydalanılma yoluna gidilmiştir. Bu nedenle yapay zekânın grafik tasarım alanında kullanılması tasarım mesleğinin geleceği açısından önemli bir konuyu teşkil etmektedir. Çalışmada yapay zekânın tarihsel sürecinden kısaca bahsedilmiş, önemli görülen tanımlamalar yapılmış, grafik tasarım ve benzer alanlardaki güncel uygulama örnekleri incelenerek bilgi verilmeye çalışılmıştır. Nitel araştırma yönteminin kullanıldığı çalışmada gelecekte grafik tasarımcıların konumunun ne olabileceğine dair uzman görüş ve beklentilerinin betimsel analiz şeklinde aktarılması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma sırasında ulaşılan uzman görüşlerine göre yakın gelecekte yapay zekâya sahip robotların, grafik tasarımcıların yerini almasının beklenilmediği bulgusuna ulaşılmış ve yapay zekânın, tasarım endüstrisine özellikle grafik tasarım alanına olumlu katkılarda bulunabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.
The concept of artificial intelligence (YZ) is present in many areas today, and people can consciously or unconsciously take advantage of artificial intelligence or contribute to its development without consciousness. Chat robots trying to help us when communicated with the customer service, mobile apps that process our photos and videos with the help of various algorithms, vehicles with autonomous driving and parking skills, applications that make financial analysis can be shown as an example. As you can see, the use of artificial intelligence is penetrating different areas every day. As a natural result, the design industry has also gone to the way of exploiting artificial intelligence or similar infrastructures. Therefore, the use of artificial intelligence in the field of graphic design is an important topic in terms of the future of the design profession. In the study, the historic process of artificial intelligence was briefly mentioned, important definitions were made, graphic design and current applications in similar fields were studied and sought to provide information. The study, which uses the quality research method, aims to transfer the expert views and expectations of what the position of graphic designers could be in the future in the form of an image analysis. According to the expert opinions obtained during the research, it was found that in the near future artificial intelligence robots would not be expected to replace graphic designers and that artificial intelligence could make a positive contribution to the design industry, especially in the graphic design field.

In this study, the historical process of artificial intelligence was briefly mentioned, important definitions were made, graphic design and similar areas of current application examples were examined and information was tried to be given. The aim of the study is to convey expert opinions and expectations about what the position of graphic designers might be in the future in the form of descriptive analysis. According to the expert opinions reached during the research; It has been found that robots with artificial intelligence are not expected to replace graphic designers in the near future, and it has been concluded that artificial intelligence can make positive contributions to the design industry, especially in the field of graphic design.
