Abstract:

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between the attitudes of teachers candidates towards the teaching profession and the perceptions of the school climate. The research sample of the University of Fishesir Necatibey Education Faculty constitutes 411 teachers candidates who are studying in the last classes. The study used the "School Climate Scale" developed by Üstüner 2006 and the "School Climate Scale" developed by Terzi 2015. The analysis of the data obtained from the study used frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, Mann Whitney U-test, Kruskal Wallis H-test and Pearson Moments analysis. The study found that the attitudes of teaching candidates towards the teaching profession and the perceptions of the school climate were at the level of "I agree". According to the research findings, the attitude points of the teacher candidates towards the teaching profession and the school climate perceptions contain significant differences according to the gender and the study part variable of the inheritors. The study also found that there was a positive and meaningful relationship between the teachers’ attitude points to the teaching profession and the school climate perceptions.
