The aim of the current research is to identify the effectiveness of using the STEAM approach based on the integration between (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) in teaching social studies to develop historical sense and visual thinking skills for third-year middle school students. Both descriptive approaches; This is to take advantage of the literature on educational research in the field of STEAM and historical sense and visual thinking; In formulating the theoretical framework and preparing research tools were used, as well as the quasi-experimental method based on dividing the sample of 102 students into two groups (experimental group 51 students and 51 students control). The researcher has prepared a measure for historical sense and another for visual thinking skills in social studies. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the members of the control and experimental groups in the historical sense and visual thinking skills in favor of the experimental group.
