This study aims to analyze the influence of previous stretching in the agility o folder womans used to the Test Timed Up and Go. The sample consisted of 18 womens with a mean age of 64.6 (± 4.2) years. The Timed Up and Go test was applied in two situations: (1) without stretching and (2) previous stretching. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics using the Student t test with significance set at p<0.05. The results show a significant decrease (p=0.001) in the mean time the Timed Up and Go test in previous stretching (8.3±2.0 s) when compared to the test without stretching (9.3±1.7 s). It is concluded that stretching exercises used before the Timed Up and Go test influenced positively in the agility of olders womans, less time to complete the proposed task.
