Bu araştırmada, okul yöneticisi ve öğretmenlerin etkili okul ile ilgili görüşlerinin “yönetim ve yönetici, öğretmen, öğrenci, program, çevre ve okul kültürü” olmak üzere altı temel boyutta belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Tarama modelindeki araştırmanın örnekleminde kamu okullarında çalışan 380 öğretmen ve okul yöneticisi bulunmaktadır. Veriler yarı yapılandırılmış bir görüş formu ile toplanmıştır. Analizlerde içerik analizi ve nicel betimsel analizler kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre yönetim ve yönetici boyutunda beş tema öğretmen boyutunda okul yöneticileri için altı, öğretmenler için yedi tema öğrenci boyutunda iki tema program boyutunda iki tema çevre boyutunda iki tema ve okul kültürü boyutunda dört tema belirlenmiştir. Katılımcıların görüşlerinin yarıya yakını yönetim ve yönetici ile öğretmen temalarında toplanmıştır. Okul yöneticileri ve öğretmenler yönetim ve yönetici boyutunda en çok yönetim anlayışı, öğretmen boyutunda eğitim-öğretim süreci, program boyutunda program özellikleri, çevre boyutunda okul, okul kültürü boyutunda ise olumlu ve destekleyici bir ortam temalarına vurgu yapmıştır. Öğrenci boyutunda okul yöneticileri en çok okul ortamı temasına vurgu yaparken öğretmenler öğrenci özellikleri temasına vurgu yapmıştır. Daha önce yapılan araştırmalarda ve bu araştırmada tespit edildiği gibi etkili okullar için en önemli iki değişkenin öğretmenler ve okul yöneticileri olduğu unutulmamalıdır.
The purpose of this research is to determine the opinions of school administrators and teachers about effective school in six basic dimensions (administration and administrator, teacher, student, program, environment and school culture) in this study. There are 380 teachers and school administrators working in public schools in the sample of the survey model research. Data were collected with a semi-structured view form. Content analysis and quantitative descriptive analyzes were used in the data analyses. According to the findings, five themes in the dimension of administration and administrator, six themes for school administrators and seven themes for teachers in the dimension of teacher, two themes in the dimension of the student, two themes in the dimension of the program, two themes in the dimension of environment, and four themes in the dimension of school culture. Nearly half of the participants' views were gathered under the themes of administration and administrators and teachers. School administrators and teachers mostly emphasized the administration styles theme in the dimension of administration and administrator, the education-teaching process theme in the dimension of teacher, the program features theme in the dimension of the program, the school theme in the dimension of environment, and positive and supportive atmosphere theme in the dimension of school culture. In the dimension of the student, school administrators mostly emphasized the theme of school atmosphere, while teachers emphasized the theme of student characteristics. It should not be forgotten that the two most important variables for effective schools, as determined in previous studies and in this study, are teachers and school administrators.
