Abstract:

In the 1980s, the effectiveness of the environmental protection movements around the world has led to an increase in demand for environmentally friendly products. In many countries, consumers have begun to take environmental health seriously. Consumers today, aware of the protection of the environment, tend to buy ecological products that are environmentally friendly and produced in natural conditions, from food to clothing, in the purchase of consumer goods. This development in ecological product demand has also reflected in textile and ready-made clothing products, especially in recent years, because the colorants and chemicals used in the production of these products have caused allergic reactions in consumers, there has been an increase in demand for products that are sensitive to human health and produced without harm to the environment. The fashion industry has also begun to tend to environmental and natural concerns according to these changing values and consumer demands, and this trend has made the emergence of new market opportunities. As a result, many major stores and catalog companies in Europe have been observed to increase their purchases of ecological textiles and costume products. The topic of ecological textile (Eco-Text) was presented in the early 1990s and is based on the production of textile suitable for the environment and human health.The chemicals used in the process throughout the life process of textile products, from the production of raw materials to the final state of the product and to the waste, waste water, the level of noise in the workplace, the environment and human health issues are the main lines of the work on ecological textile products. This study examined the importance of ecology in textile and ready-made clothing products, the importance of a textile product in terms of environmental health, production, and environmental conditions.
