The present research aims to determine the effect of internal and external determinants on sports participation of male and female college student players of South Punjab, Pakistan. The study was quantitative in nature. All male and female players of colleges were considered as population. Randomly selected 450 student players were found as sample size. Five-point Likert self-administered survey questionnaire was implemented as instrument of data collection. Descriptive statistics and inferential analysis were employed as statistical techniques to evaluate the collected data. The findings of the present research revealed that internal and external determinants had significant relationships with sports participation of student players. The results indicated that internal and external determinants had significant effect on sports participation of college players. It was concluded that female and male colleges/institutions of South Punjab are still much lacking of sports infrastructure and insufficiently developing the sports facilities to college student players needed to their sports participation. College administration and lecturers’ health and physical education should utilized the sports budget to enhance the opportunities in their institutions for student players.
