Abstract:

Many medical texts have been written in the Ottoman era. Doctors have created these texts in their knowledge and experience. Most of the texts are written in the field of pharmaceutical science. There are also works written in the surgical field. It is also written only in the vocabulary. This type of study is valuable in terms of showing the medical understanding of the time. It is also important for medical history research. This is why history of medical texts research is increasingly increasing today. There are many works in the libraries that contain different scenes. In this case, it is necessary to examine each item in detail. The works have a rich structure for the language of the period in which they are written, the understanding of medicine, the existence of word and other subjects. In this study, the doctor who lived in the 18th century will be introduced, and his work, the Mecmûa-i Tábîa, will be examined. It is one of the most famous of the time. It is necessary to write, but it is necessary to translate. There are nine kinds of nurses in the nurses. Although this work is a short text, it increases the importance of the rich word spread in it. The book is written as a dictionary. This also shows that the period of medical terms will be beneficial in examination. After information about the life and works of the doctor will be given information about the internal and external structure of the work. The language of the work, the contribution it offers in terms of medical terms and similar items will be assessed. The other works of the period will be identified similar and different aspects.
