Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to discover the reflection of Covid-19 pandemic in the lives and social services practices of social service professionals. In accordance with this general objective, quality methods and techniques have been used to make the experience of social services professionals visible. The subjects involved in the research were achieved by the method of sample cartopus. In the framework of the research, deep discussions were conducted with 15 social services specialists working in public institutions and organizations that operate in the field of social services. The phenomenological approach used in the research was conducted in the face-to-face manner in accordance with the measures taken within the framework of the Google meet and pandemic. For the analysis of the results of the research, the MAXQDA 20 program was used. The analysis has achieved three main topics: personal life reflections of the pandemic, social service practices and professional life reflections of social service professionals. The research findings show that the reflections of the pandemic are visible in both the personal and professional lives of social services professionals, but the post-pandemic conditions are directly affected by the different fields of social service and the professional practices in these fields, and that the society deepens the problems of the present disadvantaged group.

In the research, in-depth interviews were conducted with 15 social workers working in public institutions and organizations.In the research using a phenomenological approach, interviews were conducted online (Google meet) and face-to-face in accordance with pandemic conditions. The MAXQDA 20 program was used in the analysis of the data created as a result of the research. As a result of the analysis, 3 main themes were reached: the reflections of the pandemic on personal life, its reflections on social work practices, and its reflections on the professional lives of social workers. The results of the research show that the reflections of the pandemic are visible in both the personal and professional lives of social workers, but the changing conditions after the pandemic; shows that it directly affects different areas of social work and professional practices in these areas, and deepens the problems of the already disadvantaged group of society.
