Kişilik gelişimi, bireyin hayatı boyunca karşılaştığı sorunlara uygun çözümler üretebilmesi, duygularını doğru biçimde ifade edebilmesi, sosyal çevreye uyum sağlaması sürecini kapsar. Bu süreçte edebî ürünler aracılığıyla, çocukların eğitimi, olgunlaşması, sosyalleşmesi ve diğer ruhî ihtiyaçlarının karşılanması konusu önem arz eder. Bu çerçevede edebî ürünler aracılığıyla çocukların eğitilmesi konusuna önem verilmelidir. Çocuklar için yazılan metinler veya kitaplar, değişik hayat modellerini sanatçı bakış açısı ile sunar. Bunlar, çocuklara değişik görüşlerin, çatışmaların, problem çözme metotlarının, farklı kültürlerde farklı şekillerde olabileceğini öğretir. Çocuklara kitap seçerken kültürel zenginliklerin, inanç, ahlâk ve geleneklerin kazandırılmasına önem verilmelidir. Seçilen metin veya kitapların çocukların insanî duygu ve hasletlerini geliştirici, şekillendirici olmasına, metinler yoluyla verilen mesajların, çocuklarda görülmek istenilen davranışlar ve kişilikle örtüşmesine dikkat edilmelidir. Bu çerçevede, yol göstericiliği bakımından eğitim değeri araştırılması gereken Nâbî’nin Hayriyye adlı eseri, güzel ahlâk sahibi olmanın önemini anlatır. Nâbî bu eserinde, oğlu aracılığıyla bütün çocuklara hayat tecrübelerini aktarmak ve onlara öğütlerde bulunmak istemiştir. Nâbî, Türk edebiyatında kendisinden sonra gelen pek çok edip ve şairi etkilemiş, yol göstericiliği bakımından dikkati çeken Hayriyye mesnevisi ile pek çok araştırmaya kaynaklık etmiştir.
Personality development involves the process of the individual’s ability to produce appropriate solutions to the problems he encounters throughout his life, the ability to express his feelings correctly, and the process of adapting to the social environment. In this process, through literary products, the subject of education, maturity, socialization and other spiritual needs of children is of importance. In this context, children should be educated through literary products. Text or books written for children present different lifestyle models from an artistic perspective. These teach children that different views, conflicts, methods of problem-solving can be in different ways in different cultures. When choosing books, children should be given attention to cultural wealth, beliefs, ethics and traditions. It should be observed that the text or books selected should be educational, shaping the children’s human feelings and behaviors, that the messages given through the texts, the behaviors and personalities desired to be seen in the children should be combined. In this framework, the work of the Nâbi’s Hayriyye, which must be studied in terms of guidance, describes the importance of being a good moral owner. In this work, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wanted to transmit to all the children their experiences of life through his son, and to give them advice. In the Turkish literature, Nâbî has brought a lot of research to his followers and influenced the poet, taking attention from the point of view of his guidance.
Personal development includes the process of an individual’s creating solutions to daily problems person encounters, expressing person emotions complying with the social environment. During this process, literary works can be of great importance for children to develop, socialize and meet their other spiritual needs. In this respect, education of children through literary works should be attached importance. Books written for children present different life models with a perspective of an artist. This teaches children that different opinions, problem solving methods may be in different cultures. While selecting books for children, importance should be attached these books to include cultural richness, ethical values. Selected books should help children to develop their humanistic emotions and characteristics and messages given by such books should be in line with the behaviors and personal traits expected to be possessed by children. The work of Nâbî called Hayriyye which needs to be investigated in relation to its guidance to people explains the importance of having a good morality. In this work, Nâbî, through his own son, explains various life experiences and gives some advice to them. Nâbî affected many writers and poets coming after himself and his educational value should be investigated to provide guidance. For this purpose, it is concluded that the educational aspect of Nâbî's Hayriyye was strong and caused servants to the general aims of Turkish National Education.
