Bu çalışmanın amacı matematik ve fen bilimleri eğitimi alanlarının ortak ele alındığı çalışmaların bir analizini yapmaktır. Bu çalışma nitel bir anlayışla yürütülmüş ve nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden birisi olan doküman incelemesi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri araştırmacılar tarafından revize edilen “Yayın Sınıflama Formu” ile toplanmıştır. Veriler 2000-2018 yılları arasında YÖK Yayın ve Dokümantasyon Daire Başkanlığı Ulusal Tez Merkezi’nde konu ile ilgili indekslenen 53 yüksek lisans ve doktora tezi ile ulusal hakemli dergilerde yayınlanan 60 makale üzerinden toplanmış ve içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler tablo ve grafikler ile ortaya konmuştur. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, 2012 sonrası yapılan çalışmalarda matematik ve fen bilimleri eğitimini birlikte ele alan çalışmaların sayısında artış görülmektedir. FeTeMM ile ilgili çalışmaların bu çalışmaların sayısındaki artışı olumlu yönde etkilediği düşünülmektedir. Bunun yanında söz konusu çalışmalarda odakta olan disiplinin çoğunlukla matematik eğitimi olmadığı ve çalışılan konu alanının ise çoğunlukla disiplinler arası ilişkileri ele aldığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
The aim of this study is to make an analysis of the studies in which the fields of science and mathematics education are discussed jointly. This study was carried out with a qualitative approach and document analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The data of the study were collected with the "Publication Classification Form" revised by the researchers. The data were collected from 53 master's and doctoral dissertations indexed on the subject in the National Thesis Center of the YÖK Publication and Documentation Department between 2000-2018 and 60 articles published in national refereed journals and analyzed by content analysis method. The data obtained are presented with tables and graphs. According to these results, there is an increase in the number of studies that deal with science and mathematics education together in studies conducted after 2012. It is thought that studies on STEM have a positive effect on the increase in the number of these studies. In addition, it was concluded that the discipline in focus in these studies was mostly not mathematics education and that the subject area studied mostly dealt with interdisciplinary relations.
