Abstract:

The most important criterion used in the design of machinery-equipments to be used in the processes of harvesting, cleaning, classification and storage of agricultural products and in the determination of parameters such as harvesting maturity, quality differences are the physical characteristics and color values of the products. In this study, some physical characteristics and color values of the Istanbul variety are determined. The length, width, thickness and geometric diameter values of the fruit are determined at 19.02, 17.23, 16.68 and 17.56 mm respectively. The single weight of the product (3.76 g), globality (% 92.41) , mass volume weight (630 kg m-3), one volume weight (963.44 kg m-3), single fruit volume (3.72 cm3), surface area (9.72 cm2) and porosite value are determined as 34.54%. In the study, the value of the wheat's thinning rate was studied. The dynamic drainage ratio values are determined on the counterplate, galvanized metal, sunta and tire surfaces, respectively, at 0.56, 0.57, 0.54, 0.64. The detected break-up force of the product, which is especially important during the harvest, is 2.97 N. The primary color values determined by measuring the fruit are chrom (C), redness index (b/a) and hue°, the secondary color values determined by calculating the primary color values determined by L, a and b. The fruit is determined as L; brightness (17.79), a; red-green (14.29) and b; yellow-blue (0.75) The product’s chrom, redness index and hue° values are set at 14.34, 0.04 and 2.15 degrees, respectively.
