What does refer the notion “historical space” to? What is the meaning of the notion “historical space” when we take into consideration the radical changes which happen on the physical place of a historic event in the course of time, deformations and restorations of historical architectural structures, modern buildings around historical remnants, etc.? When globalization process transforms the meaning of “space”, does the relation between “historical” and “space” within the notion change “historical space” in favor of space? This essay will make the following claim: Since historical space allows us to grasp the course of history which shapes our present period, it appears to be “openness” through which past exposes itself to us.
