Abstract:

The approaches, attitudes and behaviors of managers in organizations can affect the employee's relationship with the organization positively or negatively. On the other hand, having a sense of psychological ownership by trusting the organization that a person works for ultimately helps the organization to achieve its goals and objectives, increases personal motivation as well as increases organizational efficiency by increasing its performance. The aim of this research is to examine the effect of organizational trust perceptions of private security officers operating in the service sector on their psychological ownership levels, which has been the subject of researches less frequently in the literature. The sample of the research consists of 117 participants randomly selected among 242 employees of a private security company in Konya. Questionnaire method, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the research, and the data were analyzed with the SPSS 23.0 program. In the study, frequency analysis of the demographic characteristics of the participants, analysis of the mean and standard deviation data of the scales, and correlation and regression analyzes between variables were performed. Within the scope of the findings obtained from the research, it was determined that organizational trust has a statistically significant effect on psychological ownership.
