Bu çalışma, köpeklerin serumlarında üç farklı serolojik test kullanılarak Brucella canis’e karşı şekillenen antikorların ortaya konulması; kullanılan serolojik testlerin teşhisteki uyumluluklarının karşılaştırılması ve Kayseri ilinde köpek brusellozunun görülme sıklığının tespit edilmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirildi. Kayseri Büyükşehir Belediyesine bağlı Köpek Barındırma evinde bulunan 2 yaş üzerindeki 100 (50 dişi ve 50 erkek) köpeğin yanı sıra köpek sahipleri tarafından Erciyes Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Klinikleri’ne getirilen 11 köpekten kan örnekleri toplandı. Kan serumları Tüp Aglütinasyon Test (TAT)’i, 2Merkaptoetanol-Tüp Aglütinasyon Test (2METAT)’i ve Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA)’a tabi tutuldu. İncelenen 111 köpek kan serumunun 6 (% 5,4)’sı bruselloz yönünden TAT ile pozitif, geri kalanı ise negatif iken, 2ME-TAT ve ELISA ile serumların 3 (% 2,7)’ünün pozitif, geri kalanının negatif olduğu belirlendi. Brusellozun teşhisinde 2ME-TAT ile ELISA arasında daha iyi bir uyumluluğun bulunduğu saptandı. Sonuç olarak, köpek brusellozunun serolojik teşhisinde kısa sürede ve güvenilir sonuç verdiğinden ELISA’nın TAT ve 2ME-TAT’a göre daha avantajlı olduğu kanaatine varıldı. Köpek serumlarında Brucella canis’e karşı antikor saptanmış olması, başıboş köpekler de gözönünde bulundurulduğunda halk sağlığı açısından önemli bulunmuştur
This study was conducted in order to identify the antibodies formed against Brucella canis using three different serological tests in dogs' serums; to compare the compatibility of the serological tests used in the diagnosis and to determine the frequency of dog brusellosis in the Kayseri province. Blood samples were collected from 100 dogs over the age of 2 (50 female and 50 male) and 11 dogs brought to the Erciyes University Veterinary Faculty Clinics by dog owners. The blood serum was submitted to the Tube Aglutination Test (TAT), the 2Merkaptoetanol-Tub Aglutination Test (2METAT) and the Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). 6 (5.4%) of the 111 dog blood serums surveyed were positive with TAT in the direction of brusellosis, while the rest were negative, while 3 (2.7%) of the 2ME-TAT and ELISA serums were positive, the rest were negative. The diagnosis of Brussels disease found a better compatibility between 2ME-TAT and ELISA. As a result, it was found that ELISA was more advantageous than TAT and 2ME-TAT because it gave a short and reliable result in serological diagnosis of dog brusellosis. Anticorps against Brucella canis are found in dogs serums, and when heavily dogs are taken into consideration, it is important for public health.
