Özet:

This research was done in order to study the authentic leadership behavior of primary school managers in terms of various variables according to class teachers' perceptions. The universe of this research is composed of 1674 class teachers who work in the Diyarbakır Ili Bağlar district in the 2019-2020 educational and teaching year. Due to the size of the universe of the research, the way of sampling was applied. A total of 157 class teachers working in 12 selected primary schools using the simple, unselected random sampling method forms the sampling of the research. The research was established by the relative scanning model from quantum research models. As a data collection tool, the 'Authentique Leadership Perception Scale' was used. According to the perceptions of class teachers, the authentic leadership behaviors of primary school managers; gender, state of learning, professional experience, where they spend the most of their professional life, whether they have previously done management, whether they differ according to the idea of being managers in the future, independent groups have been tested and one-way variance analysis-ANOVA. The study found that the teachers who participated in the study had no influence on their authentic leadership perceptions. According to the obtained data, the lowest material average in the class teachers' authentic leadership perceptions of the school directors belongs to the material "the school director 'insists' in the indication of opinions that are contrary to what he deeply believes in the school. These directors show that they are not insistent in the indication of the opposite thoughts to their own thoughts, while the decisions taken for the school should be discussed for the health of all kinds of thoughts. School managers should be more democratic.

This research was conducted to examine the authentic leadership behavior of primary school principals in terms of various variables according to the perceptions of classroom teachers. The universe of this research consists of 1674 classroom teachers working in the Bağlar District of Diyarbakir province in the 2019-2020 academic year. Because of the size of the universe of the study, the method of sampling has been applied. A total of 157 classroom teachers in 12 primary schools selected using the simple non-selective random sample Method make up the sample of the study. The research is constructed from quantitative research models with relational screening model. The ‘authentic leadership perception scale’ was used as a data collection tool. According to the perceptions of classroom teachers, elementary school principals ' authentic leadership behaviour; gender, education, professional experience, where previously spent most of his professional life, he had managed not whether, in the opinion of becoming an executive in the future to determine whether there is any different elsewhere, independent samples t test and one way analysis of variance-ANOVA was conducted. It was found that the relevant variables of the teachers involved in the study did not have an effect on their perception of authentic leadership. According to the data obtained, the lowest average of items in classroom teachers ‘perceptions of authentic leadership of school principals belongs to the article “my school principal insists on stating views that are contrary to what he deeply believes in at school." This indicates that principals do not insist on stating Contrary thoughts to their own thoughts, whereas any thoughts should be discussed for the health of the decisions taken for the school. It may be suggested that headteachers act more democratically.
