Abstract:

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to study the awareness of the child's parents with a normal development about special needs individuals, how they perceive them, how they tell their children special needs individuals. Method: The method of research is adopted as a method of research. In the analysis of the data obtained from the study group, a state determination and the study of the opinions were used by the visual analysis technique. For the creation of the work group, a cartridge sample method was used. The study’s work group consists of 17 parents who show their children a normal development and continue to be a pre-school education institution. All parents are ethically permitted and form mothers voluntarily involved in the research. The method of interview was used as the data method of the research. For the conduct of the conversations, the researchers created a semi-configured conversation form for deep conversations from the parents. After the conversations, the data was documented and categories and topics were created in accordance with the principles of visual analysis. The findings and results: When the findings of the study were studied, it was found that parents were aware of the individual with special needs, emphasized the importance of having the individual with special needs in the same environment as their children with normal development, and had awareness of the public space to be organized according to the needs of the individual with special needs.
