Abstract:

The national anthem has been studied in different views in many studies. In this study, it is aimed to examine the rhetoric art of the National Anthem. In the study, first of all, the emergence of the National Anthem by through the military, political and social culture was examined, and then a rhetorical analysis was followed this. In the study, the vocabulary construction (examination of grammar), expression techniques (reviewing the rules of fluency and the old terms), and the elements that create the power and beauty of expression were examined. As a result of the examination, it has seen that “The National Anthem” was written as a high level of “oratory” style. Mehmet Âkif composed this poem in the “exalted form”, in full compliance with the literary arts and the rules of “elegance” and “rhetoric” that he used.
