Abstract:

Müslüman kelamcıların tamamına göre Tanrı’nın hikmet sahibi olduğu aşikârdır. Fakat ‚Tanrı hikmet sahibidir‛ ifadesi ile neyin kast edildiği o kadar da açık değildir. Bu yüzden mütekellimûn, ilâhî hikmet hakkında, Tanrı’nın her zaman en iyisini yapmak zorunda olduğu şeklindeki Mûtezilî görüşten (aslah), ne yaparsa yapsın Tanrı’nın hikmet sahibi olduğu fikrini içeren gelenekselci yaklaşıma kadar uzanan çeşitli izah biçimleri geliştirmişlerdir. Bu çalışmamda Mâtürîdî’nin ilâhî hikmet anlayışına biraz ışık tutmak istiyorum. Görüleceği üzere, bu konu karmaşık olup çeşitli kelâmî tartışmaları bünyesinde barındırmaktadır. Zira Mâtürîdî, bu terimi Tanrı’nın kâdir-i mutlak olduğu düşüncesini, yaratılan dünyanın rasyonelliği fikri ile uzlaştırmak için kullanmıştır.
