Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to examine the opinions of children who play mind games at home and who receive preschool education and who do not, and their families about mind games. In this direction, thirty families participated in the study. Percentage frequency analysis was applied to examine the distribution of the answers given to the questionnaire questions. Descriptive analysis techniques were used to examine the ages of the participants. In the interview questions, which were included in the study to analyze the data, content analysis was used because the 11 and 13 questions were open-ended and the other questions were closed-ended questions, the percentage frequency analysis method and the interview form, one of the qualitative research methods, were used. The opinions of the families and children participating in the study about mind games at home were taken. As a result of the interview; Mind games are beneficial for children's developmental areas and suggestions are provided for parents. They stated that mind games played at home have more fun and effective on communication with children and their families, and that mind-intelligence games have many positive effects on the mental, social, emotional, language and psychomotor skill areas of their children and family members. These functional mind games are one of the most important educational - fun games that parents will also use.
