Abstract:

This research is an imaginary study conducted with the aim of studying the teacher’s leadership and qualification levels of body education teachers working in the province of Gaziantep. The research was implemented on individuals selected according to the voluntary principle from 217 (44 women, 173 men) body education teachers working in schools associated with the Gaziantep Provincial National Education Directorate in the 2017-2018 educational-learning period. Two scales were used as a data collection tool in the study ("Teacher Qualification Scale" and "Teacher Leadership Scale"). The statistical analysis of the data is used by the SPSS 22.0 program. As a statistical method, percentage, frequency and average calculations, correlation and t test analysis were used. As a result, it has been determined that the perception and expectations of body education teachers about teachers’ leadership roles are generally high. However, when comparing expectations and perception points, the conclusion was that expectations are higher in terms of corporate development and professional development. The research group has also found that the beliefs about the teachers' qualifications are quite high. It has been determined that in cases where the teachers’ competence beliefs are increasing, the expectations and perceptions of the teachers’ leadership roles are also increasing.
