Ülkemizde uzun yıllar tartışma konusu olan cami meselesi, camilerde ilkesiz yaklaşım, modern cami, 20.yy. da cami mimarisi gibi konular bu çalışmada besleyici veriler olarak ele alınmıştır. Özellikle son yıllarda sıkça karşılaştığımız ve çoğumuzun deneyimleme fırsatı bulduğu cami altında dükkan oluşumunun bir örnek üzerinden incelenmesi bu çalışmanın ana konusu olmuştur. Seçilen örneklem Düzce’nin Akçakoca ilçesinde yer alan Akçakoca Merkez Camisidir. 1989 yılında temeli atılan ve 2004 yılında yapımı tamamlanan bu cami tarihi ve turistik açıdan bir değere sahip olan Akçakoca İlçesinin odak noktalarından biridir. Klasik Osmanlı camilerinde kullanılan merkezi kubbenin aksine bu camide köşegenlerden oluşan çokgen bir üst örtü kullanılmış olup yapıldığı döneme göre oldukça farklı bir mimariye sahiptir. 1989 yılında temeli atılan caminin bulunduğu yer daha önce dükkanların bulunduğu bir çarşı niteliğindedir. Caminin yapımına karar verildiğinde mevcut çarşı kaldırılarak zemin katında çarşı bulunan modern bir cami inşa edilmiştir. Cami tasarımı, zemin katını dükkânlar oluşturacak şekilde tasarlanmış olup özgün mimarisiyle kentin ilgi çeken yapılarından biri olmuştur. Bu çalışmada özgün bir mimariye sahip olan Akçakoca Merkez Caminin zemin katında tasarlanan dükkanların cami mimarisiyle ve yakın çevresiyle olan ilişkileri belirlenmiş ve sonuç bölümünde yeni yapılan camilerde tercih edilmeye başlanan cami altında dükkan konusuna da öneriler getirilmeye çalışılmıştır.
The question of the mosque, which has been the subject of discussion for many years in our country, the unprinciples in mosques, the modern mosque, 20th century. Especially in recent years, the study of a example of the formation of the store under the mosque that we have often met and most of us have the opportunity to experience has been the main subject of this work. The selection of examples is located in the Akçakoca district of Düzce. This mosque, which was founded in 1989 and completed in 2004, is one of the focus points of the Akçakoca district, which has a historical and tourist value. Unlike the central cube used in the classical Ottoman mosques, this mosque has a multi-gen top cover made up of corners and has a very different architecture according to the time it was built. The place where the mosque was founded in 1989 is a square where the shops were previously located. When the mosque was decided to be built, a modern mosque located on the floor was built by lifting the existing square. The Cami design was designed to create the ground floor shops and has become one of the attractive structures of the city with its original architecture. In this work, the relationships of the shops designed on the ground floor of the Akçakoca Central Mosque with the mosque architecture and close surroundings have been determined and the result section has been attempted to bring suggestions to the topic of the shops under the mosque that has begun to be preferred in the newly built mosques.
