Abstract:

This study was conducted in Turkey with the aim of analysing the postgraduate thesis studies conducted in the context of education on parents using the meta-synthetic method and determining the research trends in these studies and analyzing the results. In the research conducted by the National Thesis Scanning Center of the Institute of Higher Education (YOK) with the scan of the database, 5 PhDs conducted between 2016-2021 years, 54 master theses, including a total of 59 study objectives, sampling group, used method, data collection tool and results were studied. The study found that the studies were most carried out in order to determine the reasons, expectations and satisfactions of school preferences. Most of their studies, using quantitative research methods, were conducted on high school and primary school guardians, among other findings. This study discussed the results of the research and presented some recommendations for future research.
