Kidney biopsy is a method used today in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney parenchyma diseases. In our study, we aimed at evaluating kidney biopsy from a clinical and pathological point of view. This study was done with a retrospective analysis of the data of 30 patients performed renal biopsy at the Bursa State Hospital Nefrology Service between 2005 and 2010. The biopsy was performed in the second stage in a single center accompanied by ultrasound. All of the biopsy was native kidney biopsy. The majority of the biopsy was done on the basis of proteinuria (40%). The second place as indication was followed by hematuria (33.3%) along with proteinuria. Our biopsy diagnoses are 30% membranous glomerulonefrite (MGN), IgA nefropathy (16.7%) and amyloidosis (16.6%). 7), membranoproliferative glomerulonefritis (%10), lupus nefritis (%10), tubular interstitial nefropathy (%6.6), focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (%3.3), hypertensive nefrosclerosis (%3.3) and vasculitis (%3.3). There were no major complications in the patients involved. The result of renal biopsy that we often do with the cause of proteinuria is the diagnosis of frequent MGN, amyloidosis and IgA nefropathy in second place. This study showed that second stage hospitals can play an effective role in the diagnosis and treatment of primary glomerular diseases when appropriate conditions are provided.
