Abstract:

In the study, the experimental pattern with the first test - the last test control group was used. The study 2018-2019 was conducted in the spring period of the educational year. The study group is composed of 2nd and 3rd grade students who study in the Department of Turkish Education of Muş Alparslan University. The control group of class 2 students who do not have a speech training course, the 3rd class students who do not have a speech training course, the control group is formed by the experiment group. The study used the “Critical Speech Skills Scale” developed by Sayemez (2015) as data collection tools and the “Critical Speech Skills Scale” developed by Sevim (2012). The data obtained in the study was analyzed using a statistical program. The study found that the language training course taught in the spring period in the main science of Turkish teaching did not make a significant difference in the critical speech skills of the Turkish teacher candidates, but that the Turkish teacher candidates reduced the speech concerns.
